Parents Information Parents' Night, and two annual Open Houses are scheduled to share our Montessori philosophy and materials with our students' parents and families. Weekly envelopes are sent home containing all the paper work completed by the child throughout the week, as well as a weekly letter informing everyone of special projects, field trips and other activities. Additionally, a newsletter is sent out twice a year with an extended calendar of events, an overview of pertinent policies and a parent education article. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled in the Fall and Spring to discuss each student's progress. Progress reports are shared and any concerns are discussed. Parents are encouraged to observe their child's classroom activities as well as participate on special celebration days and field trips. We enjoy a Winter Family Gathering and Spring Family Picnic with our students and their extended families. We sponsor one major fund raiser annually which is the sale of Gift Wrap and Collectibles. We host an annual book fair featuring multiple publishers and host four smaller book fairs as well as offer monthly book fliers to encourage reading in the home setting. Bonus points and free books earned through the book fairs and fliers, have provided our school library with over 5,000 volumes.
