Oh What a Night! – First Parents Night a Success

MSDs first open house as the expanded school was a rocking success! Parent’s night was the first chance for parents and students to see all of the changes taking place in the school and to see some of the fun and exciting things going on in each of the classrooms. As part of the Open House festivities, the middle school students provided an informative presentation on some of the exciting things they are doing including the Bison Café micro economy project, the Erdkinder program where students are working with Possum Creek’s farm program, and the many exciting things they are learning in the classroom.

The night was capped off with the debut of the student rock band project, the school band and ensembles, and finally with the beautiful voices of the new student choir. It was truly a magical night where all the planning and effort put into growing the school finally came together. Many parents came away from the evening not only proud of their students, but impressed with how far the school has come in such a short time.
