Dear Parents,

Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in the Montessori School of Dayton! The Montessori School of Dayton (MSD) provides a caring and nurturing environment for children ages Toddler through 8th Grade. MSD students experience an unparalleled education of the whole child. We respect individual differences, value partnership, seek cooperative approaches in our classroom planning and problem solving, believe in hard work and aiming for one's personal best effort, and take joy in one another's success.

Educational research has shown that the best predictor of future success is confidence and a positive sense of self. The classrooms at MSD are carefully structured environments, prepared by knowledgeable and dedicated teachers, and provide self-directed, non-competitive activities that help our students to develop a strong sense of self and the confidence to face challenges and change with optimism.

MSD graduates are uncommonly independent and inherently motivated learners. They have learned to work independently and in groups. Since they've been encouraged to make decisions from an early age, these children are problem solvers who can make appropriate choices and manage their time well. I am excited to offer you the opportunity to enroll your child in the Montessori School of Dayton for an experience that has fulfilled so many families for over forty years.
