  We want children to experience the joy of learning. Our mission is to spark the natural curiosity within each individual child, creating excited, independent learners.

  Our students learn to express themselves politely and confidently. We assist and teach them to solve problems and conflicts, so that eventually they can do so without the help of adults. We also nurture our community of parents who work closely with our staff to enhance the learning and warmth of our school.

  Children want and need to experience the world on their own. We give them the necessary tools, guidance and opportunities to develop independence, leadership and self-reliance in a supportive, caring environment.

Two primary governing bodies exist for Montessori education: The Association Montessori International (AMI) and the American Montessori Society (AMS). MCSD only employs AMI or AMS trained head teachers. We are also certified by the State of Ohio Board of Education, and licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Our Program Offers

• A Montessori education for children between the ages of three and nine (pre-school through 3rd grade)
• Morning, afternoon and all-day classes
• Student Care available for all students attending our school
• On staff Montessori music and art specialist for all ages
• Licensed speech therapist
• Physical Education and Spanish teachers for primary grades
• Interaction with community organizations, naturalists and artisans to enhance the children’s cultural environment
• Extra-curricular classes in Creative Development (brain gym activities), Bison Brigade Creative Learning Class, Spanish and Suzuki piano lessons
